I'm sorry if everyone is tired of seeing these in their journals, but I wanted to get one of those cool badges. Also this is a sort of reminder to myself that I'm not dead and I should stop acting like I am. Gonna try to dust off my tablet this week. Also, I'm not sure how to tag journals or if it's even possible, but I'm just gonna leave the tag here if that counts for anything. #DeviantArtistQuestionnaire
1. How long have you been on DeviantArt?
- Nearly 3 years.
2. What does your username mean?
- HaloPrime is the name of my pony OC and it now evolved into my handle on most other websites.
3. Describe yourself in three words.
- Child at heart.
4. Are you left or right handed?
- Right handed
5. What was your first deviation?
- It was a shitty-ish photoshop pen-tool drawing crossover with Phineas and Ferb + MLP. It was based on a scene of PaF where the kids find Perry and Phineas says "Hey look, Ferb! This one is looking at both of us at the same time!" I feel awkward about the pic since I don't consider it a real creation, but a lot of people liked it so I left it up.
6. What is your favourite type of art to create?
- Digital Art Drawings with a tablet and Paint Tool SAI. I am garbage with traditional art T_T
7. If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be?
- ANIMATION. I can't tolerate drawing more than 4 frames, and it would kill me to do so in an intricate fashion.
8. What was your first favourite?
- This darkish drawing of Twilight and Celestia from MLP by Johnjoseco.
9. What type of art do you tend to favourite the most?
- Anything that is funny, cool, conceptually smart, or well designed. I usually love things that can give a message/emotion or paint a scene. I also mostly love fanart, but art of all genres and subjects appeal to me.
10. Who is your all-time favourite deviant artist?
- This is a hard one
. I'd have to say 
. He has an AMAZING command of color, posing, and he draws some cute Pokemon. He's definitely one of my favorites in terms of artistic skill.
11. If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be?

. She's one of my most highly regarded friends and although we talk to each other frequently, I think we'd have a fun time together.
12. How has a fellow deviant impacted your life?
- The same person above ^. She inspired me to pick up a tablet and draw in the first place, as well as getting me into the brony fandom. If it wasn't for her, I'd never have given art a modest try, nor would I have such a great appreciation for art. She really got me out of a rut.
13. What are your preferred tools to create art?
- A tablet (Bamboo Wacom at the moment, though I'd love to try something like a Cintiq) and Paint Tool SAI.
14. What is the most inspirational place for you to create art?
- My bedroom, I guess. I never really bother to draw anywhere else since I don't use my computer to draw in public, and if I did draw outside of the house, it would likely be with a pencil on a notepad.
15. What is your favourite DeviantArt memory?
- The only noteworthy thing I can think of is when I saw these comments on various deviations. They were just so unexpectedly hilarious. For some context, they were on deviations with Luna being the sole focus (on the left comment section) and something with Celestia and Chrysalis (I think?) (on the right comment section.) I forgot which deviations they were and they are kinda buried deeeeeeeep within my favorites.

Edit: Finished a lot of the lineart. If I don't continue with the piece early on in the week, I'll have another stream eventually. Thanks to anyone who showed up!

Recently I have been doodling more frequently thanks to my college classes. Most of the classes I'm in give me enough time to draw, so I tried doing some doodles by memory. It's definitely helping me out when it comes to improving, so I'm glad 
. I haven't drawn much pony recently (in case that's why a majority of the people follow), but I just want to remind the people that actually read this journal that I do intend to draw pony now and then. However, I feel like deviating from ponies right now is helping me comprehend more than one specific organism. Randomly doodling Mangle in class about a month ago made me crush an art block, and I believe that art block was due to me feeling constrained to ponies- ponies that, according to show style, are usually drawn in the same old angles (camera and subject[pony].) I don't dislike ponies or say that they are a limited subject (in fact they're the opposite), but I think multiple subjects to draw allows for more creativity and less formulaic ruts. In addition to ponies, I'll be drawing Pokemon, Smash 4 (maybe) and Five Nights at Freddy's subjects/settings, as well as other miscellaneous drawings if I feel inspired to draw them. I have a few ideas on what I want to do with the Pokemon franchise, the FNAF franchise would probably just be a bunch of portraits/what have you of the cast. Regardless of what I'm drawing though, I hopefully won't be doing 4 month breaks in between other drawings.
Now on another note, I decided to use my personal tumblr as a hub for WIPs or random doodles. You can find my tumblr here. I rarely post on the tumblr, let alone reblog, but I think I should let people know about the WIPs if they're interested. I wouldn't upload the WIPs to DeviantART since some people don't watch for Scraps and I only upload finished products that I'm mostly proud of. I uploaded a few of my WIPs today (and of the Mangle drawing) if anyone wants to see what you'd expect for future deviations.
Sorry for being generally inactive too. I'm still trying to improve and I hope that I can make some more content that I'm proud of c: I'm juggling school work with the luxury of art, though, and college usually prioritizes over art. I'm going to make as much time as I can!

Just turned 21 today . I still look and sound like a 16 year old though. Fuck. Anyways, I thought I should make a journal to give an update on the future of my deviations and whether or not I'm still not dead. The answer to the latter question, no I'm not dead yet.
Anyways, I have been doing some improvements on my art style and I am planning on changing some of my old habits. One thing I realized I was doing incorrectly was that I was limiting my ponies' facial structure to a circle like the show's style, but it never feels right to me. I'm trying to experiment with the way I draw ponies so they have more identifiable features that sets them apart from a generic pony. Nothing too extreme, but I'm especially focusing on facial structure, which is usually my biggest obstacle when it comes to drawing. It's still a work in progress. I'm also trying to experiment with shading and coloring styles, because I'm a bit tired of seeing flat colors.
Also, you may have noticed, but recently I've been drawing less ponies than usual, but there's a reason for that. I've been struggling with anatomy in general, and I feel somewhat trapped if I draw just ponies. That being said, I am not going to limit myself to ponies, so expect to see art for more than just that. I'm not going to stop drawing ponies, but I will draw other things as well. Some of these include fanart of other games like Super Smash Bros, but I'm especially planning on a project of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon related drawings. To those who don't know, PMD is a game where your character wakes up as a Pokemon with amnesia (minus the fact that you know you were a human and that you had a name). The game I'm planning on making a series of pictures for is PMD Explorers of Sky. What I want to do is to try to draw my character's and partner's experiences throughout the game. I personally loved the concept and the story of the game, as well as the characters and the feels it brings. The only struggle I will have with the number of pics I got planned. I might weed out some of the picture ideas, but I written down all the ideas for future pics in this series and I got 28 picture ideas... I still really want to get them all out though. The very last one in the series is the reason I want to draw these pictures, so I think I'll have something to look forward to. Here's a sneak preview of what I got so far. My character's a Riolu and my partner's a Pikachu btw. I hope people will like the series as well as other future pics I decide to draw c:
