Dear Celestia, it's beautiful!!!
This picture wouldn't have been possible without the help of a bunch of people.
Irishthorns helped me with the pose of this pic (their blog found here: [link]
Helped me comprehend the way teeth worked.
Helped me with a crapload of tips and pointers on shapes and shading.
Gave a few pointers on the shading/blending.
Gave me plenty of resources, including the background and the gradient for the text, as well as additional pointers for shading/blending.
Now credits aside, this picture was probably one of the most difficult ones I have ever done. Most of my art is basically clean lines and flat colors. The sketchy outline and even worse, the sketchy shading made this picture almost a chore. I love how the picture came out though, and I am NEVER going to do another one of these again
. Aaaaaand now I'mma put away my tablet for... a while O_O...
-This picture was started on two weeks ago, most days taking 1-3 hours each, although a few had about 6-8 each.
-This picture was created with SAI and finalized (background + text + paint splatters) on Photoshop.
-The shading was the longest process of this picture, taking about 60% of my time.
-This picture consists of nearly 350 layers.
-The most difficult thing to shade was the cloak. Reason being that the cloak was counted as one body piece and I had to get shading done to two colors without it being all buggy. With base colors removed, this was what the shading looked like before I preserved opacity on each layer and colored them appropriately [link]
-This picture displays almost every single shade I made for each color [link]
-This is pretty much the longest description I ever made. Woo.
